Our Story

Hi! I'm Hannah, founder of ISLA. 

I'm 43 years old, married to the love of my life and best friend for over 20 years, and the proudest mom to our three incredible kids: Beckham (21), Crew (20), and Kingsley (16). We live in Kansas City and I truly think it's such a special place!

Before launching ISLA, I spent many years as a stay-at-home mom before opening a women’s boutique here in KC called Etiquette. I had two locations, one in Leawood and one in Prairie Village and it was during my time as the owner/buyer for Etiquette that I completely fell in love with jewelry! After 12 years, as I approached the end of the lease for my final storefront, the dream of creating my own jewelry line started to grow. Once Etiquette officially closed its doors, I poured my heart into building ISLA spending countless hours reviewing samples, testing every product, and thoughtfully curating designs I truly believed in.

From the very beginning, it was incredibly important to me that ISLA offered both quality and accessibility. I wanted to curate styles you never have to take off - the everyday essentials that fit seamlessly into your daily life, from sunrise to last call. That's why every piece is hypoallergenic, waterproof, tarnish resistant and backed by a one year warranty.
